چکیده

Adnexal mass that can be suspected as malignant with ultrasonography diagnosed benign lesion at magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This will help in preventing inappropriate surgery. MRI gives additional information on composition of soft-tissue masses using differences MR relaxation properties various tissue, which is not seen ultrasonography. To evaluate pelvic pathology by ultrasound and for differentiating tumors adnexal compared histopathology Prospective comparative study was carried out among 30 patients masses. Thorough clinical history taken followed physical examination. Clinically or ultrasonographically detected suspicious were subjected to correlated histopathologically. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV) negative (NPV) calculated gold standard Majority <50 years. Bleeding per vaginum pain abdomen most common symptoms 20% each. As ultrasonography, diagnosis 36%. Role of Mri in Evaluation of Female Pelvic Masses in Comparison to Ultrasonography

The study was conducted in 50 female patients having clinically suspected Pelvic masses at physical examination underwent both USG and MRI. Sonographic assessment of uterus, bilateral adnexal regions and pouch of Douglas was done in cases of suspected masses. Other organs such as liver and peritonium were also visualized in cases of malignancies for metastatic lesions. MRI assessment of lesions...

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Evaluation of Cardiac Masses

BACKGROUND Cardiac tumors are extremely rare; however, when there is clinical suspicion, proper diagnostic evaluation is necessary to plan the most appropriate treatment. In this context, cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) plays an important role, allowing a comprehensive characterization of such lesions. OBJECTIVE To review cases referred to a CMRI Department for investigation ...
